In the 1st version of the wall clinging system, I worked out the basics of how it would go from surface to surface. In version 2 I will attempt to refine this, along with adding new features that makes it’s use practical for play.
The most important new feature will be the input orientation reference. As it is now, the direction the shadow avatar moves is based on its local direction(like steering a car). This quickly becomes disorienting from a fixed, 3rd person perspective so instead I want to change its inputs to act as if it was pivoting, around the camera. This will make controlling and moving the player character substantially more intuitive for the player.
