Stealth AI – Version 01 Review

While a bit rough around the edges this prototype version of the AI script does the basics of what it needs to on a surface level. It can patrol on a set path, chase the player when spotted and, when in range of a sound check, will go to investigate distractions events.AIVersion01_006.png

As it is this is all the behavior I need to test my alpha prototype. In retrospect however I will need to do some further research in AI behavior, specifically in looking for a scripting architecture that allows easy implementations of new behavior states, as the current set up in the version 1 Patroller, is too difficult to edit and add to, and the final product of this game will require a more responsive AI.
