Woman In Dress – Rigging


With the UVs and textures done with no problem i’ve now rigged the final model to maya’s basic humanIK rig(with two or three extra joints for the dress).

First I skinned the main body and edited the weights around the shoulders and legs for better deformation. To make sure the deformation was consistent with the clothing above I used the “Copy Skin Weights” function on everything else but the dress, which I manually skinned to three extra joints so it could have it’s own basic movement.
