In the final push for the game this week, today I warped up the remaining models for the under temple area and got them all UV mapped(expect for the water pools, which have not, in the end, been used in any levels so I have cut for the time being). Tomorrow I will be doing the textures and testing them with shaders in engine if all goes well I should be able to implement them into the main build before this weekend.
The sets seen Above are, the door, skirting, water pipes and stairs.
For this project I am seeing how the models turn out if I try referencing the same texture space multiple times with different faces as much as possible. While it does save a lot of time it does mean the texture is less adaptable, however since these components are quite straight lined and less chaotic than my usually environment work, the models seems to be working ok with this method so far.
