The final semester 1 assignment for the animation module was to collect all our animation and modelling work into a art gallery in the Unity3D engine, that you as the player could walk around to see the work.
We were told to keep the environment basic so for my gallery I decided to try out some basic modular construction. Below is a digram of how I separated out and planned my gallery. The idea was to simply have all the 2D animations around the outer hall in frames while all the 3D animations would be placed in a large room in the middle.
I also used this basic environment as a chance to try out a style for the wall tiles that used a alpha and normal texture over a blank wall to see if that gave it a feeling of extra depth or shape. I also got some experience with Unity’s lighting as seen in the images bellow.
