Maya Practicals – Semester 1 Retrospective

In the first semester we had classes where we learnt the basics of animation in Maya with models and rigs given to us by our lectures. Later on we were to import these models into unity3D for use in our end of semester one galleries.


Above you can see my animations as they appeared in Unity, due to these models originally being made with only film in mind they were not made as meshes or rigs Unity3D could handle. Because of this all the students in the class had to use a script to bake the poses given to use by our lectures, while this didn’t work completely you could still see the base of the animations I did with these rigs above.
