Camera Projection – Detailing Task


So along side the background art lectures and practicals we are also doing some practical sessions for 3D environments. For now we are looking at Camera projection, the process of using a image to map and then texture a 3D space from a 2D image(largely used in films for city scenes but it could help to quickly white box quick area in games).

For this week they wanted us to do a relatively detailed block-out based on a image of our choice, that we would use to learn how to bake textures onto in our next session.

Above is my detailed block out for next session I did today in wireframe, lighted render and the original image. This took approximately 5 hours 30 mins from start to finish
