Research – Modular Components

At the beginning of this sprint I spent the initial week finding resources and information about making modular components for 3D video game environments. I did this mainly through playing 2.5D platformers like ‘Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams’ and trying to figure out how them made their environments, talking to some of the concept artist in the Air building at Falmouth(who introduced me to their workflow for assets such as basic art white boxing of environmental components to upgrade later) and looking at online recourses and modular packs in the Unity assets store.

All this contributed to the terrain block and the current under temple parts.
