Footage of the modular block system I have been developing to help our designers put our levels together in editor. This video is to show how each block type has it’s own set of 2D and 3D colliders that work consistent together.
At current this is done by spawning in two empty game objects, one with a 3D collider and one with 2D, within the main block empty. Once I get this to our programer it would be easy to change this if necessary.
It’s taken a bit of tweaking but I am confident I have formatted the production of these blocks and the editor script enough so that I can now package these off to the rest of the team for use and start making white-boxed block variants for different kinds of terrain.
